Location

Kinnitty Castle is located in the centre of Ireland, just outside the picturesque village of Kinnitty, County Offaly, in the foothills of the Slieve Bloom Mountains and also forms part of Ireland's only Environment Park.

Driving from Dublin (M50)
- Take the N7/M7 exit (to Cork/Portlaoise)
- You will by pass the main towns of Naas/Newbridge/Kildare/ Monasterevin.
- Take the R422 Exit to Emo/Mountmellick
- Drive through Emo to Mountmellick to Rosenalis to Clonaslee to Cadamstown to Kinnitty Castle.

 

 

 

 

Driving from Wexford/Rosslare
- Take N11 to Enniscorthy
- Take N80 through Bunclody to Carlow to Portlaoise to Mountmellick to Rosenalis to Clonaslee to Cadamstown to Kinnitty Castle.

Driving from Galway
- Take N6 through Loughrea
- On the road from Loughrea to Ballinasloe take right turn onto N65 to Portnumna to Birr to Kinnitty

Driving from Belfast
- Take A1 through Newry and on to Dundalk.
- Take N52 through Kells through Mullingar to Tullamore.
- On the Birr Road from Tullamore take the R421 to Kinnitty.

Driving from Cork
- Take N8 through Fermoy, Mitchelstown, Cahir through Cashel.
- At the Horse & Jockey pub take a left on to N62 to Thurles.
- Continiue on to Templemore to Roscrea.
- Take R421 through Clareen to Kinnitty.

Driving from Shannon/Limerick
- From Shannon take N18 through Limerick.
- From Limerick take N7 through Nenagh to Roscrea.
- Take R421 through Clareen to Kinnitty

Driving from Letterkenny/ Donegal
- From Letterkenny take N13 to Donegal.
- From Donegal take N15 through Ballyshannon, Bundoran to Sligo
- Take N4 from Sligo through Carrick on Shannon, Longford, Mullingar to Tullamore.
- On the Birr Road from Tullamore take the R421 to Kinnitty.
